Inkblot Films
The Client

InkBlot Films began life as a video agency in York in 2011. Filming across Yorkshire and beyond, and focusing on the people behind every organisation.
They develop different creative video productions such as video services, animation production and 360 photography.

The Project

The Inkblot Films team was looking to build a new platform to showcase their creative services and one that could align with their brand philosophy and values. From the technical perspective, they were looking to build a responsive, tablet and mobile-friendly version of their current website that could look and feel like it’s a reflection of the desktop version, which was a key problem they were experiencing with their current website.
The Process

We started the website design process with a kick-off meeting (via video conference) with key team members from topflight and Inkblot Films. This enabled our team to become immersed in the website design process, as well as gain a deeper understanding of short and long-term vision, ambitions and objectives.
Once the strategy was defined we started working on the initial design, which went through various feedback rounds until we agreed on the final design.
After agreeing on the creative visuals, our development team started to build the site, using a staging environment, while keeping all the elements and technical functionalities that were requested at the start of the project.
Finally, we tested the website and made all the SEO adjustments so the new platform was ready to rank efficiently in the future.
The Final Design

topflight designed a strong and visually attractive WordPress website to attract potential businesses to hire Inkblot Films’ creative video services, with smashing results. We used stunning imagery, well-scripted copy, and an SEO-friendly structure to give the website a premium yet approachable feel.

"I love the design: it's so clean and minimal, which I really enjoy and internally, we enjoy the move back to a darker theme."
